I had ordered videos from Marshall Sylver, and some guy named Mike Stower, also, a "complete course" from someone named Mark Lewis.....ALL Garbage !!I came across a guy named Geoffrey Ronning on the internet, I visited with him over the telephone, really liked him,....He is the one who suggested to me, Jerry Kein, of The Omni Hypnosis Training Center, for training. I am REALLY Grateful, I had already spent a lot of money with those other people on their courses,...in hindsight, I should have known, "You couldn’t learn what you need to know, from one or two tapes". I didn’t realize the complexity, and the background needed to handle unexpected situations that might come along. I look back now,...and actually shudder, at the thought of having someone in trance, and suddenly have them become hysterical !!! (It's called an Abreaction, you'll learn about it in Jerry's Course) I would have not known what to do, and probably "Freaked Out" myself !! Jerry is a very good instructor, probably the best I've ever seen. Very thorough on all the tapes, there's ALOT of them, and it takes a while to go through them all, but they're very interesting. I pay more attention to other Hypnotists I hear of now, their techniques, etc. Many of them seem to be using "Old School Techniques". I'm really glad Geoffrey Ronning pointed me in the right direction, I wouldn’t have know any better. If I had anything to do over ?? I would have probably ordered the bigger course, It would have saved me a little money. I have eventually ordered all the additional tapes anyway, I suspect you'll probably be like me, ..this is very interesting stuff, and you'll want to learn more and more. I enjoy having the video class because I can rewind over and over something I particularly like. Each time through, I come across something new it seems. Several months after finishing his video training, I had the opportunity to attend a major hypnosis convention. As a "newly minted" certified hypnotist, I assumed that most of the other attendees would be far more knowledgeable than I. Wrong! Most of those more experienced hypnotists did not possess the necessary basic hypnosis skills that Omni students are taught in your unbelievable video home-study course. I found myself teaching them how to reliably and quickly induce hypnosis since most of them used old, unreliable, slow methods. Most of them did not know how to do the basic regression work that is required for 75% of clients in hypnotherapy. Later I attended two advanced hypnosis training courses elsewhere in the country. Again, I encountered certified hypnotists (other students), who had received inferior training. An Attorney wanted a P.L.Regression (recreational), I had done this on nonpaying friends but this was the first payer at $150.00 for 1-1/2 hour with his tape and copies of his regressions. Watched the video again and, BOOM this was text book. He was shocked, that's when I realized he really didn't believe in past lives. Just curious. He was a real mans man, so being a women in a previous life was hard to bare. Gerry, I recently purchased your home-study video program because after completing a 6 month hypnotherapy course in the UK, I still felt I wanted more training. My wife was due to have our first baby in late May and unfortunately was rushed in for an emergency cesarian section last thursday. ( nine weeks early ) The epidural anasthesia had not had time to work when the decision was made that they had no choice but start cutting my wife open. Immediately the surgeons started cutting she was gritting her teeth in terrible pain and was very frightened. Its fortunate that in the UK husbands are often allowed to be present for these operations because I have watched your tapes endlessly since they arrived and had viewed the pain control one only two nights before. Using your principles I was able to get her completely pain free within a minute or so and she underwent the rest of the operation with no problems whatsoever. I just completed your home study video training program. I have taken many classes and have had many teachers but....you are so far above them that it's not even close. I can not understand how other old school hypnosis instructors are not flocking to you to become re-trained. Your home-study hypnosis program leaves all others behind by light years. I know...I purchased most of them. Hypnosis organizations should hire you to do their trainings instead of the basic and dated programs they are teaching.
